Hope everyone who headed north had a safe trip back home – enjoy your summer and we’ll see you all next fall.

For those staying through the summer – PLEASE PREPARE now for Hurricane Season. Get your medical papers and important papers in a folder so it is easy to grab on your way out the door. Make sure you always have at least 2 weeks of your prescription drugs on hand. Make plans now and inform your family of your plans now – DO NOT WAIT till the hurricane is headed our way. Especially if you have an animal – make sure the motel/hotel or shelter will take your animal. We
all saw what it could do and we did not get the brunt of the storm – prepare now.

Other than that – let’s enjoy the reduced traffic, going to restaurants whenever we feel like it, shopping without crowds, clear aisles and parking at Winn Dixie and Publix, shopping at Detwiler’s in less than an hour without someone pushing or running into you, parking spaces and only 25 people ahead of you in line at TJ Maxx and best of all the Reopening of Bealls at Jacaranda and 41– oh the joys of the “off season”.

Don’t forget while you are up north you can read our newsletter (such as it is) online at: ontracnewsletters.net and check out the park website at Ridgewoodvenice.com. Please end any information you want in the newsletter to

Safe summer everyone,
Susie McDowell
